Morgan appeared in a film that was about AIDS awareness and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Some of the proceeds were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising projects and also gave testimony on a Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. Morgan is on the board of Governors of APLA as well as Amfar. C. Everett Koop asked her at times to take his place in AIDS occasions. In addition, she hosted a AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS on Nightline. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for her performance in the Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In spring, she was a guest with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Morgan also played in a psychological suspense drama produced exclusively by USA Network. This thriller garnered the best ever ratings for the network.
